Other News & ViewsCompiled by PHILADELPHIA NAIR, BEH YUEN HUI AND A. RAMAN

KLANG is fast becoming a major transit point for China products in Asia, reported Sin Chew Daily.

The town, because of its strategic location near Port Klang, KL International Airport and Kuala Lumpur, appears to have found favour with many Chinese investors.

It is learnt that apart from China, investors from other countries are also interested in making Klang a transit point for their goods.

Klang Municipal Council councillor Datuk Song Kee Chai said hundreds of investors from China had rented about 200 shoplots in strategic locations to set up office.

He said the areas included Jalan Meru, Port Klang and Pulau Indah.

This was the first time the town had received a huge group of investors from China, which could also generate economic growth in Klang, he said.
